Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-04-25 · Workmachine.Space website only

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to workmachine.space, the public website. It covers only data you choose to submit via the contact and access-request forms on this site.

It does not cover:

2. What this site does not do

The Workmachine.Space website does not run analytics, advertising pixels, third-party trackers, or session-recording tools. No cookies are set by this site. Page visits, in themselves, are not collected by Workmachine.

The hosting provider and any upstream infrastructure may keep access logs (IP, request, timestamp) under their own retention and privacy policies. Those logs are not under Workmachine’s control or use.

3. What you voluntarily submit

If you complete the contact or access-request form, you submit:

The submission is sent over HTTPS to /api/marketing/submit — an endpoint backed by a PocketBase instance under Workmachine control. The record is written to a private leads collection (or subscribers for opt-in submissions). The handler also captures a hashed request identifier and the browser User-Agent string for abuse-prevention purposes only.

4. Hosting and cross-border processing

The Workmachine.Space website and its PocketBase backend are hosted on a virtual private server operated by a third-party infrastructure provider. This server is not located in South Africa. Submissions are therefore stored and processed outside South Africa, in line with reasonable safeguards.

Web fonts are served by Google Fonts; submission notifications may be sent via a third-party SMTP provider. Their respective privacy policies govern that processing.

By submitting the form you acknowledge that your data crosses borders for storage and notification.

5. Notifications

A copy of your submission is emailed to developer@workmachine.space for direct response. We do not forward your submission to any third party for marketing purposes.

6. Retention

Submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond and to record the engagement. Routine review happens at least every 12 months; you may request earlier deletion at any time.

7. Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (and analogous laws where applicable, including the GDPR for EU subjects), you may request access, correction, or deletion of the personal information held by Workmachine via this website. Email developer@workmachine.space with subject line Privacy Request. A response will follow within 30 days.

If you are dissatisfied with the response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

8. Security controls

9. Workmachine OS privacy

Operators with private access to the Workmachine OS application receive a separate, more detailed privacy notice covering matter data, integrations, and operational telemetry. That document is not reproduced here and is not relevant to general visitors of this website.

10. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in an updated effective date at the top of this page.
